  3. Select ‘create team’ and choose the class template.
  4. Provide a name for the class and possibly a description.
  5. You can add members right away by typing names. You can also share a link with students to self-enroll later. Note that participants added as guests cannot access Teams assignments and will not be able to participate in the Flip assignment.

  5. This video recorder is very similar to what you used in Flip in the past.
  6. When the video is ready, give it a name, upload it to the assignment, and download it to your computer.
  7. Adjust the due date and points on the right panel and select assign.

Guide for Students

Students must know how to join your Teams class, submit their video to the assignment, and then upload it to the folder for class comments. They will also need to know how to comment on the work of their peers. This video provides a complete guide for your students. Feel free to share this video in your course.

Rutgers does not currently have the ‘Teams Assignments’ tool integrated with Canvas. We will post updates when new information becomes available.

VoiceThread is an integrated Canvas alternative to Flip. This media support page provides information on using VoiceThread.
