If you use the Assignments tool in Sakai to require that students review the submitted work of their classmates…

Students: to complete Peer Review

  • Be sure to submit your original assignment before the due date, or you will lose the opportunity to participate in Peer Review
  • After the original due date has passed, click¬†Assignments in the left-hand menu
  • Under the assignment you’ve already submitted, you should see a link for “student 1” (more links if you are required to review more student work)
  • Click the link and you will see the other student’s submission
  • In most cases, you’ll need to download and/or open the attached document (e.g., a Word doc)
  • Review the submitted work (in Word or perhaps Acrobat reader)
  • Return to the Sakai Assignments page and enter:
    • the Grade you’re assigning to this submission
    • the Review Comments that support your grade (be sure to follow your professor’s guidelines)
  • Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page (the Save button does NOT submit)
  • You should see a note: “Comments and/or grade have been saved and submitted”
  • Click Return to List button to continue to your next Peer Review
