Add custom items to eCollege gradebook

Add items to the Gradebook that are not eCollege-submitted assignments (Custom Items)

You can add gradebook items to the Gradebook in eCollege that do not have any association with assignments submitted using eCollege. For example, if you’d like to enter grades for exams taken in class, give credit for participation or attendance, or grade in class presentations, you can enter these items into the eCollege gradebook by creating custom items.

While in “Author” mode:

  1. Click on “gradebook” button along the top menu
  2. Click “Setup Gradebook and Rubrics” button
  3. Click “Add new items”
  4. Type your assignment name into “Add Custom Item”; click Add buttonAdd custom item
  5. Your assignment will now appear in the list of items. Click the check box that appears to the left of the item to add it to the gradebook and click “Save Changes.”
