Sakai: directions for students
- Log into Sakai with your Rutgers NetID and password at http://sakai.rutgers.edu
- If your professor has added you to a course site, you'll see that as a "tab" along the top, next to the "My Workspace" tab
- Click on the tab for your course
- Notice the tools down the left-hand column (different courses may offer different tools). Some common tools include:
- HOME - may include course description and recent announcements, or other info
- ANNOUNCEMENTS - generally displays all the announcements made by your instructor during the semester
- SYLLABUS
- RESOURCES - most common repository for course documents, including readings, PowerPoint lectures, web links, etc. Click on the document you want, then choose "open" or "save"
- DISCUSSION - official course discussions, if your professor chooses to use this tool
