Sakai: trouble-shooting student access
Student can't log into Sakai:
Students can log in, but cannot see tab for course:
- Once students log into Sakai, they should see all course sites listed as tabs across the top of the page, next to "My Workspace." More than 4 or 5 sites will generate a drop-down menu at the right. They can move current tabs to the left by clicking "My Workspace," then "Preferences," then "Tab Order."
- Students should click on the appropriate tab to enter the course site, then use the tools on the left-hand side of the page to navigate through the site.
- If the expected course site does not appear for student, the instructor should log into the site and confirm that student is on the roster (from Site Info).
- If students do not appear in Site Info for the instructor, they have either recently added the course and will have access to Sakai within a few hours OR they have a problem with their registration:

Students are not receiving email from Sakai site
- Students must either use their Rutgers email, forward that mail to another account, or register a different email address in the Rutgers directory. Students can update their Rutgers email settings here:
http://search.rutgers.edu/changes.shtml
- If students' email is being forwarded to an external account from their Rutgers accounts, perhaps that account is filtering out the Sakai email as spam. You may want to check your spam folder and "whitelist" the domain rutgers.edu
