Sakai: re-order tabs (sites)
In Sakai, the sites you have created (or to which you belong) are listed across the top of your screen after you log in. The first tab is always your private “My Workspace.” If you belong to more than four or five sites, Sakai will generate a drop-down menu to the right so you can see and select from your full list of sites. Often, you may wish to re-arrange the tabs so your most current sites appear along the top line.
- To re-arrange your tabs, click your “My Workspace” tab
- From the left-hand menu, click “Preferences”
- At the top of the screen, select “Tab Order”
- In the “Sites visible” list, select the site you want to elevate, then click the Up Arrow to the right (as many times as necessary to move it to the correct location)
- Repeat this process with each site you’d like to re-arrange
- When the list reflects your wishes, click the “Update Preferences” button at the bottom of the page
NOTE: You won’t see your new tab order until you refresh the page. Click the Home tool at the left to do that.
