Add participants

In general, all your students should be added to your course via the roster. However, if you need to add a TA or a student who is not on the roster for some other reason, follow these directions:

  1. log into Sakai at http://sakai.rutgers.edu
  2. click on the course tab across the top
  3. click the Site Info tool on the left
  4. click Add Participants at the top
  5. type in the student's NetID in the top box (you can add several NetID's if each is on its own line, with no additional punctuation)*
  6. click Continue
  7. click "Access" then click Continue again
  8. finally, click the Finish button
  9. click the small up-arrow to the left of "Site Info" at the top of the box to return to the top level of the Site Info box. Scroll down to see your participant list and confirm your additions.

*Note: you can add non-Rutgers participants using the lower box. Type a full internet email address, or multiple addresses with one per line. Important: if you invite non-Rutgers participants, you MUST opt to send them email in step 8 so they will receive login instructions and a password.
