FAQ
| Q | I want to give my students access to class materials online. Should I create a web page or a Sakai site? |
| A | A web page is most useful if you want your whole site available to the internet community. Many faculty post contact info, CVs, research interests, course descriptions, and syllabi on a regular web site. On the other hand, Sakai requires students to log in, making it often a more sensible system for posting copyrighted materials. Sakai also makes it very easy to set up online class discussions and chats. More advanced users of Sakai may use the tests & quizzes tool. Some faculty members prefer to post the course description and syllabus on their websites, but also use Sakai for communication and restricted resources. |
| Q | My computer's making a weird, high-pitched noise. What's wrong? |
| A | You may have a hardware problem; please contact your local support provider. See the SupportGrid™ for details. |
| Q | I need computer help. Whom should I contact? |
| A | You're in luck, as Rutgers—Camden offers terrific technology support. Depending on the type of assistance you need, you may want to contact OIT, your school's local support group, or IDT. Please check the SupportGrid™ for specific answers. |
| Q | How do I reserve a Smart Classroom during the term? During a free period? |
| A | Academic scheduling is coordinated by Rich Woodland; other space by Karen Caracino. |
