Projecting your iPad using AirPlay

Best practices

  • Update your software to the most recent (currently 8.1.1 as of 12/04/14)

    • Choose “Settings,” then “General” from the left and “Software Update” to check your iPad’s software
  • Turn OFF auto-locking/sleeping
    • Choose “Settings,” then “General” from the left
    • Scroll down to “Auto-Lock” on the right
    • Change setting to “Never”
  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON
    • Swipe up from the bottom of your iPad
    • Make sure the Bluetooth icon is highlighted (should look like the icon displayed to the right)
  • If you can’t get audio from your iOS device to work, call the OIT help desk at (856) 225-6274
    (or you could try powering down the blackbox by resetting the powerstrip, but this will take some time to come back up and who knows who might get shirty about it…)

Connecting to the AppleTV via AirPlay to project your iPad screen

  • Swipe up from the bottom of your iPad
  • Choose AirPlay
  • Select your classroom
  • Enter the 4-digit code that appears on the projector screen
